Moist Soil
Moist soil feels damp to the touch and will form a ball when squeezed, but the ball will crumble easily when disturbed, unlike wet soil which drips water and holds its shape. It represents the ideal condition for most plants, holding a moderate amount of water without being waterlogged or suffocating roots by filling air spaces.
