Woodland Garden
Soil ideal texture & structure: Loamy (not pure sand, not heavy clay), with lots of crumbly organic matter. Moisture-retentive but well-drained: water should soak in, not puddle for hours.
Sunlight: Dappled light / bright shade (roughly 2–4 hours of gentle morning sun or filtered sun all day). Avoid hot afternoon sun (especially west/southwest exposure), which dries soil and scorches many woodland plants.
