Nootka Reed Grass (Calamagrostis nutkaensis)
Grows in dense, robust clumps with stiffly upright stems. It features narrow, soft-purplish flower panicles in summer that turn a beautiful golden-tan in fall, giving a structural presence. It prefers full sun to partial shade and adapts well to both moist soils and coastal wind.
