Muhlies (Muhlenbergia spp.)
- Muhlenbergia andina (Foxtail muhly): Native to western North America, including BC, where it grows in moist habitats such as meadows, marshes, and riverbanks.
- Muhlenbergia richardsonis (Mat muhly): Native throughout much of Canada, from BC to Manitoba and eastward. It can be found in dry prairies and gravelly lake shores.
- Muhlenbergia glomerata (Marsh muhly or spiked muhly): Occurs in BC, typically in wet to moist meadows, streambanks, and bogs.
- Muhlenbergia asperifolia (Alkali muhly or scratchgrass): Collections have been recorded in BC localities such as Kelowna and Osoyoos.
- Muhlenbergia filiformis (Pullup muhly): Native to western North America, from western Canada through the western US to northern Mexico.
- Muhlenbergia racemosa (Satin grass): Found on rocky slopes, stream banks, and in seasonally wet meadows, with known occurrences in BC.
